Development leadership
Building and guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams through complex product-development challenges.
Baar, Switzerland · Working internationally
I’m Paul Gardner — an engineer, development leader and medical-device specialist. I work where complex technology, product safety and people meet.
About me
My background spans embedded software, electronics, systems architecture, product development and engineering leadership. Today, much of my work centres on medical devices: the point at which technical decisions become questions of safety, evidence and trust.
I lead multidisciplinary development teams and advise organisations facing difficult product, lifecycle and assurance challenges. I value clear thinking, proportionate process and documents that help people do the work — not merely prove that work happened.
Building and guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams through complex product-development challenges.
More than thirteen years across connected drug delivery, infusion, diagnostics, software and digital health.
Connecting intended use, architecture, risk, cybersecurity, verification and evidence into one coherent picture.
Turning standards, process and hard-won experience into decisions and deliverables that teams can actually use.

The same curiosity follows me home. I enjoy projects that combine measurement, making and real-world usefulness.
Small-scale generation, storage, measurement and the satisfying business of understanding where every watt goes.
Useful automation, local data and systems that quietly make everyday life work a little better.
3D printing, electronics and the pleasure of turning a rough idea into something tangible.
Engineering you can feel — and an excellent reason to take the longer road through Switzerland.
